To enable anyone who has not shot a bow and thinks that they might enjoy archery the club offers an introductory course under the tutelage of an Archery GB qualified level 2 coach.
A course such as this is a requirement for joining the club and will be held at a venue in Middlesbrough. The course usually starts at the beginning of May each year but we may run other courses throughout the year if there is enough interest. You can register for the course here

The aim of the course is to give competence in
  • Shooting technique
  • Bow set up and bow safety
  • Shooting line etiquette

Recurve bows will be used for the course offered by Castle Dene Bowmen and all equipment will be provided by the club.
Introductory course fees
  • All participants: £60.00 each

On completion of the introductory course anyone wishing to continue in the sport will need to join a club and Archery GB.
Archery GB and club fees (payable in September)
  • Senior member £76.50
  • Junior member £42.50 - this fee includes senior members between the ages of 18 to 24 years of age inclusive.

For anyone joining the club at any other time a pro-rata fee will be charged.
